The tradition of the Athanasios Dimakopoulos family in beekeeping began around 1957, when Mr. Thanasis decided to dedicate himself to bees and their products. In Stemnitsa, his place of origin, he took his first steps, as the region — and all of Arcadia — is known for its rich bee pastures. What started as curiosity about the fascinating world of bees soon became a profession. This genuine love for bees was passed down to his sons, who, from a very young age, learned to care for the hives with affection and devotion.
Today, the profession of “beekeeper” and the family tradition in honey production continues with Argyris and Antonis. They produce organic honey, pollen, royal jelly, propolis, beeswax, and all the natural and essential products that bees offer to humans, using entirely natural processes. By moving their bees to different regions of Greece, they are able to harvest honey from various blossoms and honeydews, creating authentic flavors and a natural “pharmacy” that protects the human body. Bee products promote health and beauty, as their healing properties are exceptionally significant.
With years of expertise and an inexhaustible love for honey and its products, for Argyris, this is much more than a profession. Knowing the habits of bees in depth and maintaining a large number of hives throughout the Peloponnese, he has succeeded in ensuring top quality.
He characteristically states:
“Far from conventional crops and pesticides, our bees collect honeydew free from chemicals. This allows us to offer you a pure and natural product, rich in nutrients. From the hive to the jar that reaches your hands, we make sure the honey undergoes the least possible intervention, without adding or removing anything. This, after all, is the main reason why we have a constantly growing clientele and consumers who prefer and praise our products.”
